The rule of simplicity

Today we are presenting a powerful line and wash artwork by D&A Illustration. The striking colors contrast well with the black shellac ink creating a rich piece of art. There are many ways of framing this type of work but in our picture framing studio we have followed the rule of simplicity: less is more.

Picture frames are not meant to overpower the artwork but to make the eye go towards it instead. That is why we have chosen a contrast but at the same time a simple color combination. To achieve this effect we have used a solid black double mount together with a contemporary matte black frame. Now we have a little rose treasured inside an elegant box ready to be hung on the wall!
